Had a long day read "The Fork, the Witch and the Worm" was a quick read amazingly while reading between errands.

Tomorrow I'll begin reading another book I was looking forward for a long time which I ordered last year and gathering dust on my tbr pile. I got the Pendant of Hyacinth because of me browsing instagram one time and saw a reel of the author/artist's ocs and I went to their account and binged all their content on this topic and I immediately went to order said book. Really excited for this actually

there are two things we see in this decade, that kind of have similar popularity at similar times – the large bustle extending outwards from the ass, and the "princess" style dress, where volume came from the hips. the princess style dress was kept closer to the body, and was almost – gasp – form fitting! how scandalous! necklines largely stayed high, at or above the collar, but when they dipped you would see them paired with velvet chokers or necklaces with a single gem pendant. both hats and bonnets were worn during this era, and the hairstyles moved from the gentle low updos of the 60s to more styled updos associated with the late victorian era.

It goes by common names such as love-lies-bleeding, pendant amaranth, tassel flower, velvet flower, foxtail amaranth and quilete. This flower represents hopelessness.

Hyacinth.

The purple hyacinth specifically, represents sorrow, regret and forgiveness. It can symbolize regretfulness at things not said or troubling issues unresolved

[SUNKIN ONLY] CHARACTER CONCEPT: DUNESHREDDER Your gryphon is renowned throughout the SunKin clan for being one of the founders of the dunesledding sport. Maybe you’re a nine-hand-tall gryphon who latches onto the sled like it’s part of your body. Maybe you’re a gigantic gryphon who knows all the tricks to pulling the sled at just the right angle and speed. Whatever you are, your team always shreds the dunes as if you own them. Better watch out for competition - those youngsters have got tricks up their feathers! …What if you’re the youngster with tricks?

[ANY CLAN; SUNKIN SUGGESTED] CHARACTER CONCEPT: ONE HALF OF A WHOLE One or both of your parents died in the Conflict of Noctus. [FENKIN ONLY] CHARACTER CONCEPT: SHELLSPIRIT’S GRIEF You don’t remember your father. As a matter of fact, you don’t remember your mother, either. All you know is that Fenmoon claimed they found you barely a moon old on the border of the territories with your mother begging for you to be taken “somewhere safe.” All you’ve ever known since then is the FenKin, but now that things have settled down, you can’t help but wonder where your siblings, mother, and father are out there… The answer to where the mother and siblings are in this character concept will be revealed in a major roleplay arc! Your character would be one of Shellspirit’s cubs. Only one applicant for this concept will be accepted.

[RAINKIN ONLY] CHARACTER CONCEPT: STORY SCARF You’ve been weaving for many moons. Maybe your mentor taught you. Maybe you pioneered the craft. Either way, you’ve been dedicated to one thing for many moons - your ‘story scarf.’ Carefully, you weave the scarf with different colored threads in a way that creates figures every few talon-lengths, telling a story as it goes along. Silver’s brow furrowed at the flowers as she interpreted their meaning. “Of course I forgive him? I was never mad to begin with. Why does he sound like he’s-”

Stiffening, the Nephil’s hues glow as the color drains from her face. No…nonono! The pressed flowers slip from her fingers and fall, her gaze turning skyward. Michael was in trouble.

“Hermes. Go down to the Pride Ring and tell Lucifer I’m going up to Heaven. Something’s wrong with Michael and there’s no time to waste.”

Before Hermes can object, the Nephil pulls out the angels aura pendant from Cain. Running, Silver unfurls her silver wings and takes to the air, gripping the stone tight as she focused on its magic. A portal to Heaven opens and the Nephil soars through, the golden ring quickly closing after.
